Grid Game, developed by AM.CO.ZA, is a practical learning experience that challenges participants to understand, rebuild, and operate a professional DTF printer through direct hands-on involvement.
Over the ten day period, participants will learn every stage of the machine’s functionality, from hardware layout and wiring to software configuration, print preparation, diagnostics, and production.
The challenge begins with orientation and training, to ensure that teams have the knowledge they need, before teams receive a working printer. They must then completely disassemble it, organise its components, reassemble it, troubleshoot any issues, and ultimately produce a finished printed product.
Throughout the process, participants gain practical exposure to:
- Machine diagnostics
- Fault finding
- Service procedures
- Printhead workflows
- White ink systems
- DTF film printing
- Powdering and curing
- Heat pressing
