Local Signage Supplier AM.CO.ZA has built its business model on providing easy access to information, whether that be in the use of its solutions, finding the best way to achieve an outcome or, as most recently demonstrated, providing a business seminar on how to obtain government funding for the start-up or expansion of a small enterprise.

AM.CO.ZA is a leading supplier of equipment and solutions to the Signage market in South and Southern Africa. It supplies large-format printing solutions, label solutions, CNC machines and Routing solutions for companies of all sizes in the signage market. Its product offering is expansive and addresses the needs of clients in a wide range of sectors within the signage market. However, what has always set AM.CO.ZA apart is its approach to information and knowledge.

Unlike many other companies who try to offer proprietary solutions, AM.CO.ZA bases its solutions on readily accessible hardware and software components which makes using and understanding them simple and ensures that repairs and maintenance are quick as the parts are easy to source and buy. As part of its move into new premises in January of this year, AM.CO.ZA built a dedicated demonstration and training facility. Named The Ambitious Academy, the facility is designed specifically to provide existing and potential customers with access to a wide range of information in a variety of disciplines and areas.

Recently, The Ambitious Academy hosted its first seminar. Presented by Sian Pretorius, the inaugural seminar focused specifically on how to obtain government business funding, where to obtain it, what it can be used for and how to go about applying. The seminar – which was presented free-of-charge – attracted 25 people from all walks of life who were keen to find out how they can contribute to the economy of the country by starting new business ventures using funding from a range of government departments and parastatals.

While the funding discussed in the presentation focused primarily on grants for the establishment of new entrepreneurial organisations and the presentation also addressed the registration of new companies to assist the attendees in understanding the full process of starting their own companies in order to better their own lives and be a contributor to the economy of the country.

The Ambitious Academy will continue offering seminars, both free and paid, as well as presenting a series of courses aimed at people currently employed in the signage industry or those wanting to enter. Speakers and lecturers will be invited from a range of disciplines and market areas to present new and interesting insights.

The first instructional course will be presented in October of this year. Entitled Business Compass, the course will address an introductory overview to the printing and signage industry. This will lay the groundwork for the second course which will be presented next year offering a more in-depth look at systems, processes and technology in the signage industry.

Should you be interested in attending courses or seminars presented at The Ambitious Academy, please contact AM.CO.ZA for a list of upcoming events which may be of interest to you.
